Crypto.com Arena opened in downtown Los Angeles on October 17, 1999, and is home to the Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Sparks. The building opened as Staples Center and adopted its current name on December 25, 2021.
Many famous athletes are honored by statues outside the arena, including Wayne Gretzky, who played for the Kings from 1988 to 1996. The Kings joined the NHL in the 1967 expansion and won the Stanley Cup in 2012 and 2014.

Crypto.com Arena seats 18,145 for Kings games. Two-thirds of the building’s seats, including its club seats, are in the lower bowl, with suites positioned between the lower and upper seating levels.

Directions and public transit
The arena is at 1111 South Figueroa Street beside L.A. LIVE and the Los Angeles Convention Center. Metro’s A and E rail lines stop at Pico Station, a short walk away. The J Line stops at Figueroa and Pico, and 7th Street/Metro Center is about a 15-minute walk.
Because downtown traffic can be slow before simultaneous games, concerts and convention events, rail is often the most predictable arrival option.
Parking
The arena operates about 3,300 parking spaces within four blocks, with additional independent lots nearby. Event parking can be reserved in advance. Check the entrance listed on the parking pass because lane restrictions around L.A. LIVE can affect access.
Entry, bags and payment
Bags and purses are prohibited. Small clutches and wallets under 5 by 9 by 1 inches are allowed, while medical and parental bags under 14 by 14 by 6 inches are screened by X-ray. Paid lockers are available outside near the Kobe Bryant entrance.
The arena is cashless. Re-entry is possible only after making arrangements with Guest Services before leaving; returning guests must rescan their tickets and pass through security again.
Things to do nearby
L.A. LIVE is directly outside the arena and includes restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues. The Los Angeles Convention Center is next door, and the Grammy Museum is part of the same downtown campus.
