Nationwide Arena, located in Columbus, Ohio, opened for business on September 9th, 2000, and is the home of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets. Built on the site that was once occupied by the Ohio Penitentiary which called world-famous author O. Henry a resident for a while, the area is now the Arena District of the city. The Columbus Blue Jackets were added as an expansion team in the NHL’s Eastern Conference in 2000. Nationwide Arena is at 200 West Nationwide Boulevard in Columbus. Drivers can approach the Arena District from I-70, I-71, or State Route 315, then use Neil Avenue, Front Street, or Nationwide Boulevard. COTA buses serve stops around downtown and the Arena District; check the trip planner for the route that fits your event time.

There are more than 15,000 parking spaces within a 10-minute walk. Event parking can be purchased in advance or on the day, and garages and lots sit in every direction around the building. Choosing a garage on the side of the district closest to your route home can make the postgame drive easier.
