Rogers Place opened in 2016 as the home of the Edmonton Oilers and the centrepiece of downtown Edmonton’s ICE District. The Oilers had played at Northlands Coliseum from 1974 until the new arena opened. The club was founded in 1972 as part of the World Hockey Association and joined the NHL in 1979.

The Oilers won five Stanley Cups during their dominant run in the 1980s and early 1990s. Wayne Gretzky began his NHL career in Edmonton and led the team to four of those championships.

Directions – How to get to Rogers Place

Rogers Place is at 10220 104 Avenue NW in downtown Edmonton. MacEwan LRT station is beside the north entrance, and Bay/Enterprise Square, Churchill, and Central stations are within walking distance. Ford Hall connects the arena to ICE District and the downtown pedway system. Doors usually open 60 minutes before Oilers games.

Where to Park near Rogers Place?

There are nearly 18,000 parking spaces within a 10-minute walk, including more than 4,000 event spaces available for advance purchase. The ICE District Central Parkade connects to Ford Hall by elevator. Reserving a spot before the game avoids searching downtown at the busiest arrival time.
