TD Garden is the home rink for the Boston Bruins and the home court for the Boston Celtics. The multi-purpose arena opened in 1995 above North Station in downtown Boston and hosts hockey, basketball, concerts, and other major events.

This is also the new Boston Garden, as the previous incarnation of the Boston Garden became legendary for its imperfections. For instance, at the original Boston Garden, the rink was not at regulation size for an NHL rink, which helped the Boston Bruins to play physically for large portions of their history as one of the original six teams.

Directions – How to get to the TD Garden?

TD Garden is at 100 Legends Way, Boston, MA 02114. North Station is directly below the arena and is served by the MBTA Green and Orange lines and commuter rail. Fans coming from another subway line can transfer to either the Green or Orange line rather than driving into the neighborhood.

Drivers should use the arena’s event directions because downtown traffic patterns can change. The North Station Garage has entrances on Nashua Street and Causeway Street.

Where to Park near the TD Garden?

The North Station Garage is the closest option and connects to TD Garden. Event parking can be reserved in advance. Other commercial garages are available around the West End and North End, but traffic is heavy before and after Bruins games, making the train a practical alternative.
