Xfinity Mobile Arena is a multipurpose arena in South Philadelphia and the home of the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers. The building opened in 1996 and took its current name on September 1, 2025, after nearly 15 years as Wells Fargo Center.

The NHL expanded in 1967, adding the Flyers and five other teams. The Flyers won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975, becoming the first expansion-era team to win the championship. The club’s physical 1970s teams became known as the “Broad Street Bullies,” a nickname tied closely to the Flyers’ South Broad Street home.

The arena seats 19,173 for Flyers games. It also hosts the Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, concerts and other events, with capacity changing by configuration.

Directions and public transportation

Xfinity Mobile Arena is at 3601 South Broad Street in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. Drivers can reach the complex from Interstate 95, Interstate 76 or the Walt Whitman Bridge.

SEPTA’s Broad Street Line provides the simplest public-transit route. Take the line south to NRG Station, then walk across the sports complex to the arena. Routes 4 and 17 also serve the area.

Parking and rideshare

Parking lots surround the arena and the neighboring stadiums. Event parking can be reserved through the arena’s parking page, but lot availability and traffic routing change when several venues are active. Rideshare pickup and drop-off use Lot D.

Entry, bags and payment

A small clutch no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches can enter without X-ray screening. Larger bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches must use an X-ray entrance at Broad Street, 11th Street or the Premium Access Entry. Backpacks, suitcases and most multi-compartment bags are not allowed. Lockers are available outside on the 11th Street side.

The arena is cashless, with reverse ATMs near sections 122 and 214 and at the box office. Re-entry is not permitted, and door times are set for each event.

Stateside Live and other dining options sit between the venues, while FDR Park is just west of Broad Street.
